What is a FOIA Request?

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) gives citizens the right to request public records from government agencies — budgets, contracts, permits, meeting minutes, correspondence, and more. In Michigan, local governments must respond within 5 business days.

We file FOIA requests on behalf of our community to ensure transparency and accountability. All documents we receive are published here for everyone to access.
